| Yeah Norton and McAfee are some of the biggest resource hogs I have ever seen! Plus their detection rate isn't effective enough and there are free ones that do it better.
I recommend Avast or AVG.
You should only have one virus scanner installed at a time so only pick one.
Note* You are using a suit that means it's comes with a virus scanner, spyware scanner, and a firewall. The above programs are only virus scanners but you can get those programs for free too.
Firewalls - Tiny Firewall or ZoneAlarm
Spyware Scanners - Spybot Search & Destory or Lavasoft's Adaware
